First and foremost, we want to thank all of you for your strong and generous support over the past 20 years. You are the most wonderful yoga community, and we are so grateful to you for your friendship, support and devotion to yoga. This decision was so difficult for us because we love the community that has grown as a result of our time together at Simply Yoga.
We would also like to thank Joanne Carter for creating Simply Yoga 20 years ago, her efforts to create this community will forever be appreciated.
Next, we hope that you will continue to attend class this summer. Our plan is to stay open until August 26th, and we hope to be able to maintain our current class schedule until then. On the 26h, we hope you will all join us for a final class 9 AM class at Simply Yoga followed by refreshments. We hope this will be a chance to celebrate our friendship and community.
There is one remaining Iyengar workshoo between now and the end of August. On July 8th from 11-1:30, Matt Dreyfus returns for a final Saturday workshop and we hope you will consider this final opportunity to take an Iyengar class at Simply Yoga. The cost for this class will be $50.
Even though this is very difficult, we do have a bit of good news. We have been in discussions with Denyse at Alchemy Mind & Body, the spa that opened just 1/4 mile down the road from us (when Onsen Closed) at 4525 Route 27. Denyse has kindly agreed to let us teach classes at Alchemy in her yoga practice room. And almost all of our teachers will continue to teach there. The schedule will actually be almost the same as it was a Simply Yoga. More news to come on that in about one month, but our plan is to transition to the Alchemy space after the Labor Day weekend.
In terms of logistics, we will not sell anymore 3 month unlimited passes, but will offer one month unlimited passes for those who want them for $100 for a month. Any class coupons that remain at the end of August that are not expired can be refunded.
For those who were looking forward to Rebecca Lerner's September workshop and Dean Lerner's December workshop, we have not yet cancelled as we are looking for a space where we could potentially host the weekend. Please let us know if you are interested, sign-ups would help us to secure a space.
With Deep Gratitude for your support of Simply Yoga, Carol Cook, David Thurn and Nagisa Manabe
